The air-Q already delivers exceptional measurement data as standard. With the premium features, you take that to a new level: the air-Q’s premium features are aimed at businesses, facility managers and research institutions that don’t just want to measure, but to understand and act: AI-powered analytics, automated reports, advanced data exports and seamless integration into existing systems — all from a single source.
The air-Q Premium Features at a Glance
Live air quality data — with and without internet
In addition to second-by-second live data (with no internet required), measurement data can optionally be uploaded to the air-Q Cloud. To use this feature, you need to create an online account at my.air-q.com and enable data upload in the air-Q — you decide which data gets uploaded. With the air-Q Cloud, you can also access real-time measurement data on the go via the air-Q Smartphone App and Web App, for an unlimited number of air-Qs.
Direct connection for mobile use without a router
Using the air-Q Smartphone App, you can also get live access to all measured values via a direct connection, without a WiFi router. Measured values are transmitted in real time from the air-Q to the smartphone over the direct WiFi connection (2-second measurement interval). This means the air-Q can also be used on the go — no one else can do that! Optionally, you can also add the air-Q to your mobile hotspot for even more convenient use while traveling.
Smart Home and Smart Building ready
The air-Q supports many smart home standards. We, along with our active community, are constantly developing further integrations and plugins. If your preferred smart home / smart building standard isn’t supported yet, please feel free to get in touch with us.
Local API access directly to the air-Q
air-Q Science devices allow access to the air-Q device API (REST API). Through the API interface, the air-Q can be addressed directly to access advanced firmware features and make custom settings. Cloud access is not required. Note: access to the local API is only available on the air-Q Science, or on request for custom device configurations.
Data exports from the SD card
All measurement data is permanently stored on the air-Q’s internal memory card. The measurement data can be downloaded as JSON files directly from the SD card. Using our converter, the measurement data can be converted into a CSV.
The air-Q’s smart alarms
With the air-Q, you can set an unlimited number of acoustic alarms with your own threshold values for every measured parameter. You can also use our preset alarms for fire and gas. In addition, with the air-Q’s smart alarms you can get visual, push and email notifications for fire, smoke, gas, break-ins and system failure — or define your own rules and threshold values.
Events and notifications (push, email, webhooks)
With the advanced events and notifications, you can set an unlimited number of custom threshold values. When a threshold is reached, alarms can be triggered or events controlled. For example, when a threshold is reached, an unlimited number of actions can be triggered via webhooks (for example, to control a smart plug).
Pro charts
With the introduction of two additional chart types, we offer better clarity for users with many air-Qs and measured parameters. Being able to overlay up to three charts at once gives professionals even more analysis options. Our new Plenty-Sensors chart additionally lets scientific users see all of an air-Q’s measured values at a glance, making it even easier to spot correlations (coming soon).
Personal AI Air Quality Advisor
Our new AI Air Quality Advisor (Beta) uses artificial intelligence to analyze your air quality data and provide tailored recommendations. It can detect complex patterns in your measured values and derive individual, concrete recommendations for action from them. The assistant is especially valuable for facility managers and health officers who want to make data-based decisions. We also offer the option to generate automatic reports and send them as a PDF. Among other things, these can support the creation of long-term evidence records (radon, mold, noise, cigarette smoke).
Web API for custom cloud-based integrations
For advanced integration scenarios, we offer a fully documented API. This enables direct connection to your existing systems, such as building management systems, HVAC systems, or business intelligence tools. With the REST API, you can retrieve measured values automatically, remotely control devices, and set up custom alerts.
Flexible web data export
All measurement data is always stored free of charge on the air-Q’s internal memory card as JSON, and can be converted to CSV for further processing. For businesses and research institutions, we also offer advanced export features available through the Web App. All measurement data can be conveniently exported via the Web App as CSV, XLSX or JSON, allowing for smooth further processing in statistical software. Data exports can be automated and scheduled to simplify regular analyses.
Smart Widgets for presenting measured values
air-Q Smart Widgets let you embed sensor data as self-updating measurement displays or charts on external screens, websites or in presentations, without the viewer needing a user account. A free online account in the air-Q Cloud is required to use this feature.
Widget-Dashboards
With air-Q Widget Dashboards, you can arrange important air quality data according to your needs and display it at a glance. You can choose from a wide variety of widgets, including real-time measurement cards, trend charts and summaries of the air quality indices. Dashboards can be individually customized and configured for different rooms or departments.
Data storage and backup
All data in the air-Q Cloud is stored at high resolution for at least one month. All customers with premium features get unlimited volume and high-resolution data storage for measurement data in the air-Q Cloud. This means you can not only conveniently reuse all historical data at any time, but also benefit from a secure backup and documentation of your measurement data.
Option to integrate your own sensors
As a premium feature, you get the option to integrate your own external sensors into the air-Q Cloud database and use all available air-Q features. The external data sources are treated like “internal” air-Q measured parameters, with full functionality in the air-Q Smartphone App and air-Q Web App.
Request premium features
During the trial period, all premium features are free to use for private customers. However, availability cannot yet be guaranteed during the trial period. We’re happy to advise you on our new premium features.
FAQs about the Premium Features
Can Measurement Data Be Exported as a CSV File?
The measurement data is stored as a JSON file on the removable micro SD card and can be exported as a CSV file. There are two ways to do this:
1. Download the data from the SD card and convert it using our JSON-to-CSV converter.
Note: air-Qs with the Science Option can generate a CSV file directly on the SD card. Conversion is then no longer necessary.
2. Export the data via our air-Q web app. (Download via the web app is a paid convenience feature)
